The western-most cape of Norway is always open to the public and you may visit Vestkapp at any time of the day or week to enjoy nature and the panoramic views - weather permitting. Please note that if you arrive in a larger veichle, it is recommended to park at the foot of the road and enjoy the walk up to the plateau.

Opening hours at the Vestkapp Restaurant
The restaurant is open with varying frequency from April to October. You will find the updated opening hours at the bottom right hand side of this page.

Please remember to book a table in advance if you wish to ensure seating in the restaurant. And allthough we close the kitchen at a given time, you are welcome to stay put and enjoy the view throughout the evening.

As of the end of June, you may also purchase drinks and snacks from our very own food truck outside without having to book a table. The food truck is open on sunny days during restaurant hours.

By Car

Travel by car is the easiest way to get to Vestkapp. Please be aware of the narrow roads and challanging driving conditions, especially from the main road and up to the cliff. It is both possible and recommended to park by the main road and walk up.

By Buss

NOR-WAY Bussekspress has buss routes from all parts of Southern Norway to Nordfjoreid. From here, the local buss company Kringom will transport you to Selje at Stadlandet. Hoddevik & Drage transport and Stadbussen.no can be contacted for further transportation from Selje.

By Boat

If you arrive by boat privately, you will find a guest harbor both in Leikanger and in Selje. You may also arrive by the express boat from Bergen to Selje run by Norled. Hoddevik & Drage and Stadbussen.no can be contacted for further transportation.

By Plane

The closest airport is Anda by Sandane in Sunnfjord. The drive from Anda to Vestkapp is app. 1 h 40 min. An other alternative is Hovden airport by Ørsta and Volda. The drive from Hovden to Vestkapp is app. 2 h 25 min.
