Our Produce

The menu at Vestkapp Restaurant is updated monthly and will always be based on Norwegian and preferably local produce.

Vestkapp’s location right on the ocean means easy access to seafood. But there are also numerous farms on the Stadlandet peninsula and in the surrounding areas that process and sell land-based foods. Below you will find a selection of our suppliers.

STAD KYSTMAT

Stad Kystmat is produced and packaged at Sandvik Gard on the Stadlandet peninsula. The farm has been a part of the local community for generations and is mentioned in public documents dating as far back as 1306.

BARE BÆR

Growing berries in the roughest climate in Norway has previously been thought impossible. But Bare Bære (Norwegian for “Just Berries”) have proved otherwise. They offer high-quality berries from berry bushes covering several kilometres on the outskirts of Stadlandet.

ERVIK HAVFISKE

In a small town at Stadlandet you find Ervik Havfiske, one of the world’s largest longline fishing group companies. Whether it is doing local business at Stad or fishing in remote areas as the Antarctics, sustainability and a respect for the oceans is at the heart of everything that is done.

STAVE

Per Stave AS is a traditional family owned company specializing in seafood. The Norwegian favourite “lutefisk” is amongst their specialities, while also running the largest fresh fish delivery and distribution business in Selje.
